Yamba to Bendemeer

About 400k for the move today & its been raining all day. We have abandoned the coastal route as the road is a minefield of giant potholes, as the endless stream of heavy  trucks have wrecked the road in the on going wet weather. We opted to cross the Great dividing range to Glen Innes & on through Tamworth but we are camped in a free camp just short of Tamworth at Bendemeer, a lovely spot on the river, toilets & town water available. I misplaced a lot of pictographs from Yamba yesterday but found them today, so I will put them up now.

                                                                    Walk at Yamba.

                                                             Found a flower.

It will be a while before this sees the water again.

A herd of cockatoos at the local cockatoo farm.

                                                                      Morning mist.

                                                              Short rocks video.

Some interesting weathering on these sandstone rocks.

                                                             Main street Yamba.

                                                             Passing through Grafton.

Many miles of burnt out forest, but every tree is shooting again, in 12 months time you won't know it happened.

At the top of the range at about 4500ft. Every tree fern has re shot after the fire & seem to be thriving. A month ago we thought we would be avoiding fires & now we are circumnavigating floods.

                                                                Camp Bendemeer.

                                                                 As above.
