Home-Brisbane-Yaamba

They have had a lot more rain here in the Northern rivers of NSW. All the waterways are running bankers. with paddocks flooded & roads under water. But it is incredibly green & lush.

Cutting the cake at Marions' party on Sunday night, it was a very enjoyable evening, we left the next morning after Yvonne had been to the hairdresser.

The solitary pelican who comes every year & spends a few months on the river in front of our house.

Squeezed into Kerry & Damos' drive for the first night. Saw Anna & Rosie & listened to the rain teeming on the roof of the van, a very soothing sound.

Morning tea at Tweed Heads & polished off the first of the home made vanilla slices.  They are only getting better with age.

                                                           Pano, Tweed Heads.

A tame seagull with a gammy leg.

We drove through plenty of roads like this near Pottsville.

Mark & Sue preparing for their departure on Friday. I am far too polite to mention the bogging in the front yard.

Some regenerating forrest from previous fires, some time ago.
